Women’s seminar
18th of January 2008 at the Thotalaga Prayer Church in Thotalaga

The missions department of NCEASL organized a women’s seminar on the 18th of January 2008 at the house of Prayer Church Thotalanga with a participation of about 70 participants. 
The main objective behind this seminar was to empower the women to engage in holistic missions through the “Esther Women’s fellowship”.  The main speaker for this programme was Ms. Shanthi Ponnu from the Methodist Church who is also highly involved with the back to the bible. She spoke on the topic such as “How to create a happy God fearing family” which also included how to solve problems, your partner and your children. 

The committee members of “Esther women’s fellowship” discussed the possibilities of encouraging women to get involve in the ministry while we promote our income generation programme among them in order to raise their monthly income.  After the session it was decided by the participants to start their own “Esther women’s fellowship” in their regions of Handala and North Colombo. Finally this programme was concluded with a time of worship and prayer.  The programme was a great success as it will help the churches, believers and even the society to join to glorify the name of our Lord.
