Discussion on Theology of Persecution

The National Christian Evangelical Alliance of Sri Lanka held a conference in early December, 2009 at the Global Towers for representatives from various denominations, Churches, Bible Schools, Practitioners and the Legal field. It was titled ‘Theology of Persecution in the Asian Context’ (Sri Lanka).
The focus was on topics related to ‘persecution’; the reality of persecution, identifying its source, the reasons for such persecution and how one combats it legally and Biblically. These topics were expounded in depth, and with clarity.
The resource persons were invitees from the Lanka Bible College, Colombo Theological Seminary, Assemblies of God of Ceylon and NCEASL. Each speaker shared their experiences of how they transcended challenging circumstances, which impacted and motivated participants to surge ahead with a fresh impetus to win their generation for Jesus Christ. |
